First half of the movie is good and interesting. Second half is excellent. The final 30 minutes of action sequences are mind-blowing. Shankar teams up with Rajnikanth to make this logic-defying entertainer that appeals to every movie lover around. Robo is the best special effects film ever made in India and is definitely India’s answer to Hollywood in terms of both special effects and imagination.

First half is entertaining. The first 30 minutes of second half are not gripping in right standards. That part is boring. But the climax action episode is marvelous to be on Indian screen. The last few closing dialogues are impressive and with true essence.

The first half is exceptional with the way it raises seemingly simple, but extremely profound questions like - can a robot have feelings, and if so what should its responsibility be? Even in the second half there are those small references to Ramayana and Bhasmasura story, for those who can find them! At the end of it all boils down to individual, emotional and social responsibility of a human, raised because of the Robot! It entertains, thrills, and makes one think of what’s possible! Don’t even think about giving it a miss, and watch it on big screen!

With all the hype created about the film, which took almost two years to complete the project and with a whooping budget of Rs 180 crores, doubts were raised whether the film could withstand the pressure of hype. However,It has all the qualities of science, fiction, love and emotions, which could make the film a blockbuster.
